Homework for Class 6
- Deploy and productionize your prototypes, and post the live prototypes to Discord.
- Keep finishing your project: pick the next step on the Finishing Your Prototypes map that you didn’t get to in class, paste its Codex prompt into Codex, and get it working before Class 6.
- Make sure your homework automation posts to the #homework channel every day, and sends us an email with an update on your progress. If your automation isn’t working, ask Codex to look at past automation runs, and help you debug why the automation isn’t working.
- Run the agent design game on your goals again. Pick a problem in your life, work through it with your agent, and spend several hours iterating on the solution.
- Prepare to show your work in demos next class. Demos will be done in groups of 3-4 students, with volunteers showing the whole class something they created in the past week.
- Memorize the terms in the attached glossary sheet. We’ll do a short quiz at the start of class 6 on these terms.

- Send Codex the following questions, and ask it to explain them to you (and ask follow up questions) until you feel satisfied with your understanding:
- What is Git? Is my project saved in Git and on GitHub, and how do I go back to an earlier version if something breaks?
- What is deployment? How would I put my project on the internet, and what would it cost?
- What are production and preview? How can I try a change on a preview link before it goes live?
- What is a domain? How would I get one for my project, and what would I need to set up?
- What is a database? Does my project have one, and can you show me its tables and explain each one in a sentence?
- What is a System of Record? For each kind of information my project uses, where is the official version kept?
- What is authentication? How do people log in to my project, and what decides what each person is allowed to see?
- What is a webhook? Which services could tell my project when something happens, and how do you check a webhook is real?
- What are logs? Where are my project’s logs, and can you read the recent ones and tell me what you find?
- What is a backup? Is my project’s data backed up, and how would we restore it if something went wrong?
